Built from lived experience. Designed for real clinical value.

After our co-founder recovered from brain cancer, he became deeply grateful for the care he received, and acutely aware of what was missing between visits. Oncoly grew from that experience: a genuine attempt to co-create something useful for patients, caregivers, and the teams who care for them.

Oncoly is built to complement care teams, not replace clinical judgment.

The challenge

Cancer care is fragmented between visits

Across patients, clinicians, researchers and relatives, critical information is lost in the gaps between appointments. Oncoly is built to close those gaps.

Diagram showing cancer-care fragmentation across four audiences: clinicians (~55% of treatment toxicities undetected), patients (~62% of symptom burden between visits), researchers (~70% of trials lack complete patient-reported outcome datasets), and relatives (~59% of at-risk relatives never receive genetic counselling).

Pilot & deployment

On the path to our first pilots

Our first formal pilot is designed for a private clinic that wants to co-develop what evidence-based digital patient support looks like in practice. This is not a passive deployment, we aim to shape Oncoly's development plan based on the validated learning and direct feedback from our clinic partner.

Q3–Q4 2026

First private clinic pilot

A 3-month co-development partnership. Site to be announced.

Q1–Q2 2027

Public clinic pilot begins

Ethics application approved. Validation in a public-sector environment.

2028–2029

First public-clinic innovation partnership

Long-term innovation agreement signed. CE marking process initiated.

For public clinics and comprehensive cancer centres, Oncoly is designed to align with the Swedish National Cancer Strategy's goals for improved rehabilitation, digital follow-up and equal access across regions. Our public sector pilot pathway begins in 2027, following the private clinic validation phase. We welcome early conversations with Regional Cancer Centres and Comprehensive Cancer Centre networks who wish to be involved in shaping the programme ahead of formal deployment.

Our story

A diagnosis that became a direction

At seventeen, our co-founder Máté Bendegúz Horváth was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. After his recovery, the conversations he had with patients, caregivers and clinicians became the foundation for Oncoly, a platform built so that good cancer care does not pause when you leave the clinic.

A platform designed around every person in the room, and everyone at home

Oncoly is a mobile and web platform for the spaces between clinical appointments, designed alongside oncologists practising in Sweden. It supports the full care triad: patients logging symptoms and goals, caregivers contributing observations with consent, and clinicians receiving structured patient-reported data before each consultation.

Living, not just surviving: our vision for cancer care

Oncoly aims to mirror hope, which is built on the cancer survivor and advocate Martin Persson's perspective: "Live, not only survive." That is the standard Oncoly is building toward, personalised, continuous support that helps patients and families do more than endure the journey.

Our journey

Milestones

2025 Q3

Science Park Impact Demo Day

Award winner

Selected from a competitive field of healthtech startups. First external validation of Oncoly's clinical value proposition.

2025 Q3

Early clinical environment feedback

Platform tested and refined in collaboration with oncology professionals. Workflow fit and usability validated before broader pilot engagement.

2025 Q3–Q4

Validated in clinical context

Oncoly completed structured usability evaluation with clinicians and care teams in a clinical environment. This validation focused on platform interaction and clinical workflow fit rather than patient health data collection, confirmed strong demand for the solution and provided the qualitative insight needed to refine the platform ahead of formal pilots.

2025 Q4

Tillväxtstiftelsen Impact Level-up scholarship

Grant recipient

Awarded institutional growth funding, recognizing Oncoly's potential for measurable impact in Swedish healthcare.

2026 Q1

Legal and regulatory readiness achieved

GDPR-aligned data handling, consent framework, and role-based access controls in place. Ready for structured pilot agreements with care providers.
